Sisters and brothers,
Your union has been working tirelessly to coordinate with the MOA and ensure that AMEA workers are protected while we face the health and economic crisis arising from COVID-19.
Last week, AMEA was assured that MOA leadership wants no worker to face a negative economic impact due to the measures we must take to stay safe, but to date no action other than "use your leave or take LWOP" has been taken for most workers.
They need to know how badly forcing employees to deplete leave balances and take LWOP is impacting our ability to curb the spread of the virus. Please read, sign, and share this petition to as many people as you can.

If we all band together, we can get these changes made. Remember that we make Anchorage happen, and that we must stay healthy if we want to continue to serve the citizens of our great Municipality during this crisis.
Thank you,
Brandon Fifer
President, AMEA Local 16
