Action Alert - Sunday Rally - Help Prevent a Government Shutdown! - Posted: Tuesday, June 6, 2017
Greetings AMEA members,
Our parent union, AK AFL-CIO, is organizing a rally this Sunday (6/11) at the Anchorage Legislative Information Office (1500 W. Benson Blvd) from 1pm-2pm to demonstrate union solidarity for our representatives and urge them to pass a budget to prevent a government shutdown.
A government shutdown will negatively impact many communities across Alaska. Our friends, our families, our union, and our communities are depending on our legislators to make sure Alaska keeps running. If you are able, please make time this Sunday to stand in solidarity with our sisters and brothers. When we are many, we are strong.
